Brothers and Sisters,
We're living in a uniquely dangerous time. This is a time of fear, but we must not live in fear. Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). However dangerous this virus, God is stronger still. Scripture calls us to put our trust in God and not to be afraid. The Psalmist writes, "He (God) is the solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul. An impregnable castle: I am set for life." (Psalm 62:2 MSG) So while we are called to be careful in this difficult time, we're not fearful!
God is our castle, our hiding place. We're set for life.
Because we believe God's promise we will:
Take it easy. (John 16:33; c.f.Mark 6:50)
Remember God Who got us here. (1 Peter 5:10)
Lift up a shout to God (Ezra 3:11, Psalm 5:11)
Open up and read His Word (Hebrews 4:12; Matthew 4:4)
Seek to know our God and pray to Him ( Jeremiah 29:12, Philippians 4:6-8)
And cry out to the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:17; Romans 5:5)
God knows what's going on and He is our Rock. Where God is fear leaves. So, let's live our lives carefully, but not in fear because God is our refuge. He is our tower of help! Let's live boldly.
Under the Rock,
Pastor Briant
